Florida Bay and the Florida Keys support a tarpon fishery like no other place on Earth. This is one of the few places with shallow, clear water that is on a major spawning migration route. This makes the fishing fairly predictable from late winter through early summer. The fish are mature and average around 70 or 80 pounds and frequently over 100. |
